During its annual conferences, held in exciting and diverse locations across the country, the AFPPA typically establishes a fundraiser and volunteer efforts to support clinics or organization in the host city. These efforts may include fun runs/walks, blood drives, and partnerships with other medical philanthropic efforts. The goal of these outreach efforts is to provide medical support to the medically underserved as well as generate public support for the medically underserved.

Future outreach programs in development include creating regional task groups to respond (in coordination with FEMA and local agencies) to natural disasters and establishing medical mission efforts through a volunteer corps program.
